I have to thank the gracious bartender at the Mark Hotel (Madison Ave at 77th Street, NYC) for introducing me to this delicious Sauternes (Chateau Rieussec-2003 Bordeaux, France).

This lovely dessert wine is sure to sweeten your evening! I was so giddy that I had the bartender take this picture of us. As you can see, this wine produces instant joy. Beware: this is a splurge, but you are worth it, right?

Very bright, golden colour. Very candied nose with delicious notes of figs and apricots. Full-bodied and fatty in the mouth with intense notes of candied fruit and excellent length.
